Brought in a 1991 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser in for a new transmission and got a lot more done for a very decent price! Now it runs and drives like it’s brand new! I highly recommend them as they treated me very well and communication was absolutely amazing. They also worked on my 2013 VW Golf and it runs smoother than ever!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointed – Negligent Work That Affected My Health I brought my 2018 Suburban to Car Tune in Butte, MT for a transmission replacement because my car broke down (I live four hours away), trusting they would do the job right. They were communicative and made me feel as though I could trust them. I even said “if I find issues when I get back to my home town, how will I get it resolved without having to bring it back here”, and they assured me it would be ok and taken care of…three months went by with me smelling and breathing in exhaust after the transmission was fixed. I took it to three shops and finally had it diagnosed….Unfortunately, they failed to replace an exhaust-related gasket or seal—a standard part that should always be replaced during a transmission job. Not only was this negligent and dangerous, it was completely avoidable had Car Tune followed standard procedure. It was clearly from not replacing these parts that multiple other mechanics have told me are standard to replace when transmission work is done. When I called car tune to ask if they would pay for at least part of their mistake, they said no. So after paying them $6100 for the transmiss

These guys were great the past four years I’ve taken my vehicles there. But today they charged me $135 to look at my car before telling me they don’t work on Cadillacs, although they’ve worked on this one before. Not only did I tell them it was a Cadillac to start with but it is clearly marked as one as well. Make sure to ask if they know how to repair your make and model before letting them spend an hour deciding that they don’t want to.

Kevin and all the people working at Car Tune have my endless gratitude! After being in a tight spot financially and needing a massive sudden repair, they worked with me to make a financial plan to help me out in a way that works well for both of us. I will never forget their kindness and understanding and will always return here if I ever have car problems in the future. Both times I've been here it has been incredibly fast, the first time was in an out in a day when my power steering went out. The second time took a week due to ordering a front carrier part out of state. I truly don’t know what I would have done without them! Thank you Car Tune for helping out your community, I am beyond appreciative!

Broke down 7 miles outside of butte on a Sunday evening. Spent the night in my car at the pull off and called mechanics as soon as shops started opening at 8am the next day. Car tune was my 3rd call after 2 big “NO”’s from other local shops. After Car Tune reluctantly said to bring it by, I again clarified that it would need to be towed there and wanted to ensure they could work on my unique car. They confirmed. So I had it towed there Monday afternoon (finding tow trucks via AAA is difficult in Butte apparently, so I had to find and pay $250 for my own tow to get there). When I arrived, the owner looked at my car out front of the shop, with his flashlight, for less than 5 minutes before diagnosing a very expensive fix. He then had zero interest in sourcing the part and told me to do it myself. He added that while I find my part and have it shipped, that I’ll need to park my IMMOBILE car elsewhere. The car I just agreed to pay $250 to have towed there. My part could take 2 weeks to arrive and he allowed me to tow it there, while knowing that my car parts were hard to source bc I told him this when I first called.
